$1,000 Reward Offered on Aggravated Robbery

     Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for anyone that has information leading to an arrest in an aggravated robbery in Newark. The Newark Division of Police reports around 1:45 a.m. on Aug. 25, a woman was robbed by a man with a gun in front of her home on N. 25th St. The suspect fled with cash towards 23rd St.

     The suspect is described as a white male with facial hair, 23-30 years old, 5-8 to 6-0 tall, 150-180 pounds, brown hair, and wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, jeans, and a dark colored bandana over his face.  He had a black handgun.

     Anyone with information on this crime is urged to call the Licking County Crime Stoppers at 740-349-6888 or 1-888-488-9058. A special coding system protects the identity of the caller but allows for the reward to be issued at a later time.

Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for anyone that has information leading to an arrest in a burglary at a home in north Newark. The Newark Division of Police reports on the night of Aug. 20, someone entered a home in the 1700 block of Churchill Downs Rd. and stole a Toshiba laptop computer and an IPod Touch.

Bake N Brew helps Crime Stoppers

     Licking County Crime Stoppers raised lots of money Friday night thanks to the friendly folks at Bake N Brew located in north Newark. Sticks N Stones entertained the packed restaurant and generous diners donated money to Crime Stoppers which is a non-profit organization that offers reward money to individuals providing information that help law enforecement agencies solve crimes. Crime Stoppers also honored outgoing Board President Dave Morris for his several years of leadership.

Reward Offered on Credit Card Theft

     Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for anyone that has information leading to an arrest in the theft of a credit card. The Heath Police Department reports on June 12, a Florida woman contacted Heath Police to report her credit card had been used by someone to purchase $1,350 in merchandise at the Heath Walmart. The woman said she’d never been to Ohio, and didn’t know how the perpetrators were able to get her credit card information. Walmart officials were able to get store surveillance camera pictures of the suspect (see photos below).

Reward Offered on Gas Station Robbery

     Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for anyone that has information leading to an arrest in an aggravated robbery at an east Newark gas station. The Newark Division of Police reports around 4:45 a.m. on Sept. 1, a suspect robbed the clerk at gunpoint at the Duke and Duchess on Dayton Rd. at the Route 16 intersection. The suspect fled with cash.

     Pictures of the suspect were taken by a store surveillance camera. The suspect is described as a white male, age 20-45, around six-feet tall and 185 pounds, with a tattoo on his right forearm.
