Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for anyone
with information leading to an arrest in a debit card being used to
purchase items at a gas station in Newark. The Newark Division of
Police reports the card was used on the afternoon of April 27 at
Speedway located at 364 E. Main St.
Pictures of the suspect
were taken by the store's security camera. The suspect is described
as a white male, about six-feet tall with a tattoo on his right
forearm, and wearing a white t-shirt, and black ball cap. He was
driving a red pick-up truck.
The debit card was stolen from a Newark woman.
Anyone with information on this crime is urged to call the Licking County Crime Stoppers at 740-349-6888 or 1-888-488-9058. A special coding system protects the identity of the caller but allows for the reward to be issued at a later time.
