Reward Offered for Bad Samaritan at Walmart

Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for anyone with information leading to an arrest in the theft of a purse at Walmart in Heath. The Heath Police Department reports on April 9, a victim left the store and accidentally left behind her purse in a shopping cart parked in store entrance way. Moments later, a woman entering the store, took the purse, and left the store.

The purse contained credit cards, cash, and other personal items.

Store security camera footage shows the suspect parking her vehicle, entering the store, picking up the purse, tucking it under her own purse, exiting the store, and handing the purse to someone in her dark colored Jeep Cherokee, parked in the parking lot and leaving. The suspect is described as a female with long dark blonde hair, fairly tall medium-build, and wearing a gray long sleeve shirt and blue jeans.
