Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for anyone with information leading to an arrest in the theft of money from an elderly woman in Heath. The Heath Police Department reports on the morning of Oct. 15, a 91-year-old woman was scammed into withdrawing $4,500 from her bank account at PNC in Heath and tricked into giving it to a man in front of the Dollar Tree store in the Southgate Shopping Center on Hebron Rd. The victim was called by the suspect(s) earlier that morning and told that her help was needed in withdrawing the money to aid the bank in an internal investigation of one of it's employees.

The suspect who picked up the money from the victim is described as a white male, 60-70 years old, about 6-feet tall, 165 pounds, and wearing a black jacket, black pants, and black shoes, and a dark ballcap.
