Up to $1,000 Reward on Tools Theft

Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for anyone with information leading to tools being stolen from a Newark house. The Newark Division of Police reports sometime between Sept. 15 - Oct. 20, someone stole several tools out of a garage in the 1000 block of Shaw Dr. Items stolen include: a 24-foot extension ladder, drills, saws, sanders, and other items.

Anyone with information on this crime is urged to call the Licking County Crime Stoppers at 740-349-6888 or 1-888-488-9058. A special coding system protects the identity of the caller but allows for the reward to be issued at a later time.    

Crime Stoppers also takes calls from persons with information about any felony. Information leading to the arrest and indictment of a felony suspect could qualify the caller for a reward as determined by the Crime Stoppers’ Board. Crime Stoppers is a non-profit organization. Up to $1,000 Reward on Business Break-In

Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for anyone with information leading to an arrest in a break-in at a jewelry store in Heath. The Heath Police Department reports on Sept. 28 around 8:30 p.m., someone rammed a vehicle into the front of Haynes Jewelry, located at 409 S. 22nd St., breaking store windows and damaging the door frame. Nothing was taken from the business.

A witness described the vehicle as an early 1990’s model red pick-up truck, possibly a Chevy, with white fence stakes on the sides of the truck bed. The witness said the vehicle left the parking lot shortly after the incident occurred.

Up to $1,000 Reward on Home Burglary

Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for anyone with information leading to an arrest in an aggravated burglary at a Newark home. The Newark Division of Police reports between 3:30 a.m. to 5 a.m. on Oct. 4, someone entered a home on First St. while the residents were sleeping and stole several items including electronics, medications, cash, credit cards, and other items.

Up to $1,000 Reward for Subway Attempted Robbery

Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for anyone that has information leading to an arrest in an attempted robbery at a Heath restaurant. The Heath Police Department reports around 8:15 p.m. on Oct. 9, a male suspect attempted to rob Subway located at 1134 Hebron Rd. The suspect left Subway without any cash after seeing another customer pull into the parking lot. Witnesses say the suspect fled on foot with another suspect, who was in the parking lot, towards the back of the restaurant behind houses on Clark Ave.

The suspect, who was in the restaurant, is described as a thin white male, about five-foot-four inches tall with red hair and wearing all black with a black baseball cap and a black bandana covering his face. The second suspect is described as wearing dark clothing.
