Up to $1,000 Reward for Info on Blue Raccoon Bar Robbery


Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for anyone with information leading to an arrest in a robbery that happened around closing time at a Newark bar. The Newark Police Department reports three unknown men robbed the Blue Raccoon Bar on W. Church St. at gunpoint around 2:40 a.m. on May 18. The bar owner and two patrons were inside at the time of the robbery.

The suspects got away with cash from the bar and patrons along with some personal items. The suspects are described as black males in their late teens to mid twenties, and are believed to possibly be from the Columbus area. Police detectives are analyzing surveillance video and processing for fingerprints.

The Newark Division of Police reports around 3 a.m. on April 30, suspect(s) broke into the building at 73 N. 3rd St. in downtown Newark. Nothing was reported stolen.

The Heath Police Department reports overnight on April 29, suspect(s) broke into the Dairy Isle locations at 471 W. Church St. in Newark and 303 S. 30th St. in Heath. The suspect(s) damaged the buildings, electronic equipment, and stole a safe.

Up to $1,000 Reward on Info on Thefts from Vehicles

Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for anyone with information leading to an arrest in several thefts from vehicles in Johnstown. The Licking County Sheriff's Office reports between March 22-23, suspect(s) stole several items from vehicles parked outside at seven residences in the 9,000 – 10,000 blocks of Cooper Rd. Stolen items include: tools, personal items, electronics, and a debit card that was later used at three Columbus area gas stations.
