Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up
to a $1,000 reward for anyone with information leading to an arrest in an
abduction in Newark. The Newark Division
of Police reports, on March 24 around 11:30 a.m. a 19-year-old woman was
walking along Everett Ave. when she was approached by a man driving a full size
Ford truck. The woman got into the truck
and according to police is at home and safe at this time.
The driver of the truck is described as a white
male, slender with gray hair, late 50’s to 60’s. His complexion is described as being “orange”
possibly from recent spray on tanning.
The vehicle is described as a newer, medium gray or silver. It is very clean and may be a “crew cab,” but
definitely has a rear seat. It has black
cloth interior. The windows are tinted, and it had a cap on the back.
Anyone with information on this crime is urged to

special coding system protects the identity of the caller but allows for the
reward to be issued at a later time.
Crime Stoppers also takes calls from persons with
information about any felony. Information leading to the arrest and indictment
of a felony suspect could qualify the caller for a reward as determined by the
