Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up
to a $1,000 reward for anyone with information leading to an arrest in
recent thefts in Newark. The Newark
Division of Police reports, on Tuesday, February 26, suspect(s) stole a package
containing boots from the porch of a home located on the 400 block of Hudson
Avenue. On Thursday, February 28,
suspect(s) stole a stole a package containing insulin from the porch of a home
located on the 100 block of South 5th Street. Crime Stoppers reminds residents that there
are multiple ways to secure deliveries and prevent thefts – Have the packaged
delivered to your workplace; Have deliveries go to a family member or friend
you know will be home; Reschedule a delivery for when you will be home.
Crime Stoppers also takes calls from persons with
information about any serious crime. A special coding system protects the
identity of the caller but allows for the reward to be issued at a later time.
