The Newark Police Department reports around 3:30 a.m. on Oct. 14, suspects entered a residence in the 100 block of Mt. Vernon Rd. assaulted the male resident with a baseball bat and stole several items including cash, electronics, and miscellaneous items.

One suspect is described as a male wearing a black ski mask, 15-30 years old, 5'-11” to 6'-5” tall, and weighing 185-240 pounds. The second suspect is described as a male wearing a ski mask, 15-30 years old, 5'-6” to 6'-0” tall, and weighing 150-200 pounds.

The Licking County Sheriff's Office reports just after midnight on Sept. 27, a black male suspect entered the Speedway Gas Station near the intersection of Route 310 and I-70. While the store clerk was cleaning up a mess that the suspect had made in the store, the suspect went into the store room and stole 16 cartons of cigarettes valued at almost $900. The suspect then fled to a white truck that pulled up to pick him up. The truck had a cab and what looked like tool boxes on the side of the cab.
