Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in a theft in Newark.  The Newark Division of Police reports, on Tuesday, July 16 a white male stole the center caps off the wheel rims of a SUV parked at a business in the 200 block of East Main Street. The caps are valued at $1,500.

Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in car thefts in Newark.  The Newark Division of Police reports, during the overnight hours on July 24, a Kia Sedona was stolen from S. 26^TH St.  The van was recovered on Fairlawn Ave.  On July 22, two Hyundai’s had their steering columns ripped out. One on Lakeview Dr and the other on N. 40^TH St.

 

There have been several stolen vehicles throughout the city of Newark this summer. Several vehicles have had their steering columns ripped out in attempt to steal the vehicle. Most of these are Hyundai’s and Kia’s. As a reminder if you drive one of these makes of cars, please take precautions and lock your vehicles, use a steering wheel lock, or park in a garage if possible.

Reward Offered for Information Leading to Arrest(s) in Burglaries in Newark

Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in recent burglaries in Newark.  The Newark Division of Police reports, between July 1-2 suspect(s) broke into a home and garage in the 400 block of Ballard Avenue and stole multiple items including a riding mower and washer and dryer.  Between July 3-7 suspect(s) broke into a home in the 100 block of Union Street and stole multiple items including two guns.
