Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for anyone
with information leading to an arrest in a breaking and entering and
theft at Newark High School. The Newark Division of Police reports on
the night of Nov. 20, a man entered Newark High School and stole a
set of keys, credit cards, and a checkbook out of the principal's
office. The suspect fled the building after being spotted by a
custodian.
The suspect is described as a white male, 18-25 years old, about 5-foot-10, 240 pounds, and wearing a red winter coat with hood, baggy pants, brown gloves, and black boots.
Pictures of the suspect were taken by the school's security camera.
Anyone with information on this crime is urged to call the Licking County Crime Stoppers at 740-349-6888 or 1-888-488-9058. A special coding system protects the identity of the caller but allows for the reward to be issued at a later time.
Crime Stoppers also takes calls from persons with information about any felony. Information leading to the arrest and indictment of a felony suspect could qualify the caller for a reward as determined by the Crime Stoppers’ Board. Crime Stoppers is a non-profit organization.
