$1,000 Reward Offered on Burglary

Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for anyone that has information leading to an arrest in a burglary in Newark. The Newark Division of Police reports on Aug. 1, someone broke into an attached garage of a home in the 700 block of Plymouth Place, and stole an air compressor.

Anyone with information on this crime is urged to call the Licking County Crime Stoppers at 740-349-6888 or 1-888-488-9058. A special coding system protects the identity of the caller but allows for the reward to be issued at a later time.

Crime Stoppers also takes calls from persons with information about any felony. Information leading to the arrest and indictment of a felony suspect could qualify the caller for a reward as determined by the Crime Stoppers’ Board. Crime Stoppers is a non-profit organization. Reward Offered on Camper & Guns Theft

     Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for anyone that has information leading to an arrest in the theft of a camper that was stolen in Newark and recovered in Fairfield County.

     The Newark Division of Police reports the 27-foot silver Airstream was stolen overnight on July 22 from a business complex behind Wendy’s Restaurant on Dayton Rd., by a suspect driving an older model (late 1980’s, early 1990’s) two-tone Chevy Blazer. The camper was recovered July 29 in a cornfield on Heimberger Rd., with two guns missing from the camper.

236 Cigarette Cartons Stolen

Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for anyone that has information leading to an arrest in a breaking and entering at a north Newark gas station.

The Newark Division of Police reports overnight on June 27, someone broke into the Murphy USA gas station, located in the Walmart parking lot in the 1300 block of N. 21st St., and stole 236 cartons of cigarettes, other tobacco products, and cash. A picture of a suspect and vehicle was taken by a store surveillance camera.

Crime Stoppers $$ Reward for Mall Theft

Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for anyone that has information leading to an arrest in a theft at Indian Mound Mall in Heath.

The Heath Police Department says on July 17 at approximately 8:30 p.m. a theft occurred at the Sears store.


The suspect is a white male with a tattoo on the right side of his neck, and what appears to be a star shaped tattoo on his right hand. A picture of the suspect was taken by a store surveillance camera.
