Up to a $1,000 Reward Offered for Info on Aggravated Burglary

Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for anyone with information leading to an arrest in an aggravated burglary in Newark. The Newark Police Department reports around 3:30 a.m. on Oct. 14, suspects entered a residence in the 100 block of Mt. Vernon Rd. assaulted the male resident with a baseball bat and stole several items including cash, electronics, and miscellaneous items.

One suspect is described as a male wearing a black ski mask, 15-30 years old, 5'-11” to 6'-5” tall, and weighing 185-240 pounds. The second suspect is described as a male wearing a ski mask, 15-30 years old, 5'-6” to 6'-0” tall, and weighing 150-200 pounds.

Anyone with information on this crime is urged to call the Licking County Crime Stoppers at 740-349-6888 or 1-888-488-9058. A special coding system protects the identity of the caller but allows for the reward to be issued at a later time.

Crime Stoppers also takes calls from persons with information about any felony. Information leading to the arrest and indictment of a felony suspect could qualify the caller for a reward as determined by the Crime Stoppers’ Board. Crime Stoppers is a non-profit organization.
