Up to $1,000 Reward for Information on Break-Ins

Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for anyone with information leading to an arrest in two break-ins and thefts in Newark's west end. The Newark Police Department reports:

Break-In #1 Sometime between Oct. 15-16, suspect(s) broke into a storage shed of a home located in the 1100 block of W. Main St. and stole several power tools including a leaf blower, a snow blower, a chainsaw, and several other tools.

Break-In #2 Sometime between Oct. 7-10. someone broke into a mini storage site in the 1500 block of Coffman Rd. and stole several power tools including drills, saws, nailers, and other power tools.

Anyone with information on these crimes is urged to call the Licking County Crime Stoppers at 740-349-6888 or 1-888-488-9058. A special coding system protects the identity of the caller but allows for the reward to be issued at a later time.

Crime Stoppers also takes calls from persons with information about any felony. Information leading to the arrest and indictment of a felony suspect could qualify the caller for a reward as determined by the Crime Stoppers’ Board. Crime Stoppers is a non-profit organization. Reward money comes from private individuals, businesses, and foundations that see Crime Stoppers as an integral tool in the community’s fight against crime.
