Up to a $1,000 Reward Offered for Info on Robbery

Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for anyone with information leading to an arrest in a  robbery in Newark. The Newark Police Department reports on the afternoon of June 22, a male suspect robbed a man while the victim was working on the outside of his house on Clinton St.

The suspect used a knife to threaten the victim and fled with the victim's wallet which contained cash. The suspect is described as a white male, 20-40 years old, 6'00” to 6'02”, 150-200 pounds, and wearing Doc Martin boots, blue jeans, and a dark shirt.

Anyone with information on this crime is urged to call the Licking County Crime Stoppers at 740-349-6888 or 1-888-488-9058. A special coding system protects the identity of the caller but allows for the reward to be issued at a later time.

Crime Stoppers also takes calls from persons with information about any felony. Information leading to the arrest and indictment of a felony suspect could qualify the caller for a reward as determined by the Crime Stoppers’ Board. Crime Stoppers is a non-profit organization.
