Reward Offered for Thefts of Motorcycles and ATV's in Heath and Newark


Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for anyone with information leading to an arrest in thefts of all terrain vehicles (ATV's) and motorcycles in Newark and Heath.

The Heath Police Department and Newark Division of Police report:

  • On Nov. 24, 2012, suspect(s) stole three ATV's, two motorcycle dirt bikes, and tools out of a barn on a property located in the area of the intersection of S. Second St. and Blackfoot Trail in Heath. 
  • Between Dec. 12-13, 2012, suspect(s) stole a Honda Fury motorcycle (valued at $16,000) from a home's garage in the 800 block of Sharon Valley Rd. in Newark.
  • Between Jan. 2-3, suspect(s) stole an ATV from a home's garage in the 1900 block of Cherry Valley Rd.
Anyone with information on these crimes are urged to call the Licking County Crime Stoppers at 740-349-6888 or 1-888-488-9058. A special coding system protects the identity of the caller but allows for the reward to be issued at a later time.

Crime Stoppers also takes calls from persons with information about any felony. Information leading to the arrest and indictment of a felony suspect could qualify the caller for a reward as determined by the Crime Stoppers’ Board. Crime Stoppers is a non-profit organization. Reward money comes from private individuals, businesses, and foundations that see Crime Stoppers as an integral tool in the community’s fight against crime.
