Reward Offered for Info on Credit Card Theft and Misuse in North Newark

Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for anyone with information leading to an arrest in a stolen credit card being used at two Newark stores. The Newark Division of Police reports on Oct. 2, suspects stole a credit card out of a vehicle parked in the 400 block of Hudson Ave., and then used the credit card to purchase items at Walmart and Speedway on N. 21st St. in the north end of Newark. Surveilance cameras at both stores took pictures of the male and female suspects.

The suspects also stole tools and miscellaneous items the vehicle on Hudson Ave.

Anyone with information on this crime is urged to call the Licking County Crime Stoppers at 740-349-6888 or 1-888-488-9058. A special coding system protects the identity of the caller but allows for the reward to be issued at a later time.

Crime Stoppers also takes calls from persons with information about any felony. Information leading to the arrest and indictment of a felony suspect could qualify the caller for a reward as determined by the Crime Stoppers’ Board. Crime Stoppers is a non-profit organization.
