Reward Offered for Info Leading to Arrest of Suspect(s) In Thefts from Vehicles in North Newark and Downtown Newark

Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in thefts from vehicles in Newark. Newark Police report there were numerous thefts from vehicles in August from homes near Horns Hill Road including Brooke Way, Dustin Court, Donovan Drive, and Renae Drive in the north end of Newark and also in downtown Newark in the parking lot at Doubletree Hotel located at 50 N. Second St. Items stolen from the vehicles include wallets, purses, firearms, tools, a backpack, and golf clubs. Licking County Crime Stoppers reminds people when exiting their vehicle to remove valuables and to lock the vehicle.


Anyone with information on these crimes is urged to call the Licking County Crime Stoppers at 740-349-6888. A special coding system protects the identity of the caller but allows for the reward to be issued at a later time. Crime Stoppers also takes calls from persons with information about any serious crime.
