Reward Offered for Info on Theft and Misuse of Credit Card

Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for anyone with information leading to an arrest in a theft and misuse of a credit card. The Licking County Sheriff’s Office reports, in late December, a woman reported her credit card had been stolen and used at a grocery store in Columbus and a gas station in Thornville. The suspect(s) used the credit card to make purchases totaling more than $235.

Anyone with information on this crime is urged to call the Licking County Crime Stoppers at 740-349-6888. A special coding system protects the identity of the caller but allows for the reward to be issued at a later time.



Crime Stoppers also takes calls from persons with information about any serious crime. Reward Offered for Info on Home Burglary on Daugherty Circle in Newark


Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for anyone with information leading to an arrest in a home burglary in Newark.  The Newark Division of Police reports, in early January, suspect(s) broke into a home on the first block of Daugherty Circle and stole multiple items including several guns, electronics and gift cards. 

Anyone with information on this crime is urged to call the Licking County Crime Stoppers at 740-349-6888. A special coding system protects the identity of the caller but allows for the reward to be issued at a later time.    

Crime Stoppers also takes calls from persons with information about any felony. Information leading to the arrest and indictment of a felony suspect could qualify the caller for a reward as determined by the Crime Stoppers’ Board. Crime Stoppers is a non-profit organization.
