Up to a $1,000 Reward Offered for Info on Thefts in Heath

Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for anyone with information leading to an arrest in a series of thefts from several stores in Heath. The Heath Police Department reports on Aug. 6, a female suspect stole wallets, credit cards, and money from employee break-rooms at several stores in Heath.

The thefts occurred at Michael's Crafts, Best Buy, Petland, Aeropostale, Elder Beerman, and Target. The stolen credit cards were then used to buy items at Target, Walmart, and Toys R Us. The suspect tried unsuccessfully to purchase items at Staples, Speedway and other locations in Heath.

The suspect is described as a heavier set white female, with tattoos on both arms and one on the left side of her neck. The tattoo on her right arm may possibly be a heart with some sort of green scroll. At the time of the crimes, the suspect was driving a silver or gold colored four door vehicle.

The same suspect has been identified as having committed similar offenses from at least four store locations in Zanesville on Aug. 4th. Credit cards stolen in those incidents were subsequently used in Cambridge.
